Mustang  Trek.

Lying beyond the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Massif in central Nepal is the Hidden Kingdom of Mustang, an intriguing parched region, forming part of the Tibetan plateau. Untouched by the outside world, 16 Century monasteries remain active, adored with unrivalled frescoes, thankas and status of gigantic deities, preserving ancient traditions. Mustang is the land of barley fields pastures for grazing herds. Threshes upper reaches of the kaligandaki river which has tantalized a generation of trekker-have recently been opened in 1992.. Mustang being a restricted area, there are certain formalities required by the Government of Nepal in obtaining a special permit.

The Journey to Mustang begin with a flight to Jomsom via Pokhara. Two day walking from jomsom we cross the Traditional boundary in to the wild lunar landscape of Mustang

Our Itinerary allows plenty of times of explore the main town of Lo-manthang, the impressive walled capital. Mustang trek is scheduled during the summer months when the people are most active in the fields, villages and monastries.

The trek ends at jomsom and from here we fly back to Katmandu via pokhara.

Program

Day 01:   Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara (200kms)Overnight at hotel.
Day 02:   Morning fly to Jomsom (2713m) and trek to Kagbeni (2810m).
Day 03:   Trek to chele (3030m). Crossing Kagbeni check post start restricted area.
Day 04:   Trek to Geling (2440m).
Day 05:   Trek to Charang (3490m)
Day 06:   Trek to Lo manthang (3730m).
Day 07/08:   Visit Lo-manthang sightseeing .
Day 09:   Return trek to Dhakmar village (3460m)
Day 10:   Trak to Samar (3250m).
Day 11:   Trek to Kagbeni.o/nt at hotel.
Day 12:   Trek to Jomsom.o/nt hotel.
Day 13:   Morning, Fly to pokhara, rest of time leisure at hotel.
Day 14:   Pokhara Sightseeing.
Day 15:   Drive to Chitwan National park (125/4hrs).
Day 16:   Wildlife activities.
Day 17:   fly from Baratpur to Kathmandu (135km/20 minute).
Alternate Route:   This trek can be start from Pokhara, a hour drive to Birethanti and trek to Ghorapani, Tatopani, Kalopani, Jomsom, and Kagbeni. it require 7 days to reach at Kagbeni from pokhara. From Pokhara to Kagbeni fine Lodges are available with excellent food.
Day 01:   Drive to Birethanti (42kms) by car and trek to Ulleri.
Day 02:   Trek to Ghorapani.
Day 03:   An early morning trip to poonhill and trek to shikha.
Day 04:   Trek to Tatopani.
Day 05:   Trek to Ghasa.
Day 06:   trek to Tukuche.
Day 07:   Trek to Kagbeni.
Day 08-17:   From Kagbeni commence trek to Lomanthang and return to kagbeni.
Day 18:   Trek to Jomsom.
Day 19:   Fly to Pokhara.
Note: Minimum two people require obtaining trek permit for Government Rule.
