Nepal Showcases Tourism Potential at “Adventure Connect” Event in Canada, Everest Pioneer Trek Nepal  Nepal participated in a notable event titled “Adventure Connect,” organized by the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA) on Wednesday at Nuna Kitchen & Bar, Queen Street, Canada. The gathering served as a prime platform for networking and knowledge-sharing, with over 40 leading Canadian travel operators, media representatives, and local travel businesses in attendance, alongside tourism professionals and enterprises from Nepal and other nations. Shahadev Shrestha, founder of Everest Pioneer Trek, described the event as an invaluable opportunity to foster international partnerships and explore new business prospects. He expressed optimism that such initiatives would significantly contribute to the growth and prosperity of Nepal’s tourism industry in the years ahead.

The event highlighted the importance of collaboration among stakeholders in the travel industry and featured insightful presentations from Julia Williams, ATTA’s Community Lead for North America, and Marvic Gil, a tourism expert from Peru. Julia Williams offered a comparative analysis of adventure tourism destinations, emphasizing the growth of the sector in Peru while drawing parallels with Nepal. She highlighted the shared appeal of trekking, adventure sports, and rich cultural experiences in both countries. Marvic Gil discussed Peru’s strategic plans for the tourism industry and provided insights into preparations for ATTA’s 2025 events, offering a fresh perspective on global tourism trends. With the increasing demand for adventure travel worldwide, Nepal’s participation in such international forums underscores its commitment to positioning itself as a premier destination for adventure tourism

Likewise, Shahadev made a detailed presentation on Nepal’s adventure tourism destinations and its rich cultural and historical heritage. Nepal’s tourism sector is vibrant and diverse, offering visitors not only adventure travel but also an extraordinary blend of historical sites and rich cultural experiences,  He pointed out.

The Embassy of Nepal and Everest Pioneer Trek Nepal (p) Ltd. participated in the three-day 34th International Tourism and Travel Show 2024, which was organized at Palais des Congrèss in Montréal, Canada, from November 1 to 3, 2024, as part of its economic diplomacy program to promote Nepal’s tourism.

According to a press release issued by the Nepalese Embassy in Canada, the Embassy set up a solo stall where tourism promotional materials were showcased and distributed to visitors. Nepal’s tourism-related printed materials, documentaries, and visual materials were also displayed during the three-day exhibition.

A large number of visitors were attracted to the Nepali stall and inquired about the tourist attractions in Nepal. They were keen on getting information regarding the season, temperature, connectivity, and whether Nepal caters to the interests of all age groups of visitors.

This is the 34th edition of the International Tourism and Travel Show which is one of the largest tourism promotional events in Quebec Canada. Tourism promotion entities, travel agencies, tour wholesalers, tour operators, hotels, airline companies, and tour promoters from more than a hundred countries participated in the exhibition. It also included global culinary adventure, seminars on tourism destinations, B2B seminars, and performances from various cultural groups among others.

“This type of exhibition plays an important role in promoting Nepal’s tourism,” remarked Shahadev Shrestha, director at the Everest Pioneer Trek Nepal, which has been regularly participating in the travel mart for the last four years. While distributing fliers consisting of tourism promotion materials on Nepal, many international visitors have shown interest in visiting Nepal in the future,” he said adding “some of them have made plans to visit Nepal in the year 2025-26.”
